If it’s a game of golf your dad likes, you won’t go wrong treating him to a round at Withernsea Golf club. Set on the edge of the seaside town, the course has narrow undulating fairways with varying sizes of well-guarded greens. On the Beach in Bridlington for Race the Waves.
Or maybe a day a at the beach! Race the Waves is made up of a Retro theatre of automation held on Bridlington’s South beach, this event is taking place from the 17th 19th June, each day will be filled with excitement. Featuring, vehicles running in pairs along the firm tidal Yorkshire sand from a ‘flagged start’. This element is supported by eclectic displays of American Customs, Rat-Rods, Hot-Rod Cars and Motorcycles at the South Promenade. What a great way to spend fathers day! This event begins on Friday 17th at the church green with a meeting with the beach entrants from 10.00 to 17.00, after which a vehicle display will take place on North Marine Drive at 20.00 to 21.00
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th Steampunk Emporium in The Spa from 10.00am. Race the Waves will begin on the South beach from 11.00am Saturday and Sunday which will be supported by Bridlington Gold Radio and stalls on the promenade. Enjoy!

The Seabirds in Flamborough is a great place to take your special person for fathers day. There is nothing quite like a Sunday dinner, and most dads will agree. The menu at the Seabirds takes some beating and you’re in a great location to take a breathtaking walk along the cliff-tops afterwards to walk it all off and have some quality time together.

Taking some time out with your special person on fathers day? Maybe just walking, talking, reminiscing and making another memory is lovely. However, it’s doubly enjoyable whilst eating yummy Ice Cream, and we love ice cream from Scoops ice cream which is next to Holdsworth Amusements (which have some brand new racing games dads would love too!) there’s also the Coble Landing Chippy, right next door overlooking the beach on coble landing. After all that you’re probably in need of a walk, either way, this is a great starting point for any walk, whichever way you choose to go.

If a walk on the promenade, a pint and a spot of lunch is his thing. Then the Marine Hotel is the place to go. Seating outside is available, and a great day will be on the cards with all this and stunning views.
