Five of our favourite Friday finds!

Hello! As the digital hunt for Christmas pressies has started, and we are looking for new local businesses to support, we have put together some fantastic places that we love, and some fantastic finds that we have discovered this week.

Our love of indies
We are really spoilt for choice on the coast, but we are always on the lookout for something that screams Yorkshire Coast! This week is a beautiful Whitby designed bottle stocked by North Yorkshire Gallery Whitby. The gallery is always a must-see for amazing items, and so happy we can get our fix online.

Our deli delights

It’s hard not having the freedom to wander through markets on the hunt for local produce endlessly, but if you are safe and responsible, you can still get your fix if you head to Scarborough Market. It is always an absolute treat and knowing that we are supporting local businesses is the icing of the cake. Top tip, order a Christmas pork pie from Deli Delicious...it really is delicious!

Our wow moment

We know that we have some of the best local catch, but we didn’t realise we were harbouring a big, luxurious secret….Bridlington is the lobster capital of Europe! We can’t wait for restrictions to be lifted – the hunt for the best lobster roll is on…please share with us where we should start our lobster roll journey!

The sparkle in our eyes…

When dreaming of Christmas and gifts for loved ones, a little sparkle is always on the list! Of course, we are spoilt for choices with so many independent jewellers, but this really did catch our (okay my!) eye at Elizabeth’s in Bridlington.

Our staycation dreams…

Staithes is one of our favourite places to visit…our taste of the Mediterranean! This colourful village is full of quirky accommodation, art, and so much history. We can’t wait to get back and settle in the Cod and Lobster for a bite to eat overlooking the sea, listening to the tales of smuggling and community life.

Mentally the bags are packed, ready to sample the delights again of such a special place on the Yorkshire Coast – the planning has commenced….
