We are on the final stretch of our tour around Bridlington, having taken you from the rural outskirts through to the historic old town, passing the amazing white chalk cliffs as we headed back towards the harbour.
As we approach the South Bay promenade, we recommend you hop off and explore this beautiful town area, including Bridlington Spa.
The Spa has a proud history as a magnet for world-class talent. There’s always an exciting programme of entertainment, including the very best in music, comedy, theatre and touring musicals.
If you love the history of buildings, head towards the Art Deco ballroom and Edwardian Theatre, or if you need refreshments, taking a break in their cafe with the panoramic sea views across South Bay is worthwhile.
At all times of the year, you’ll see families, couples and dog walkers enjoying the great facilities on the Promenade. It’s an ideal spot to set up base. If you’re looking for comfort, try the chalets for hire that run from the Park and Ride all the way down to Richie’s Cafe – serving an apple pie so good, they claim it’s “world famous”!
If you live in Bridlington, or visiting this summer, thank you for joining us on the Bridlington Explorer. Also, don’t forget to add another date to your diary, the 23rd of September, where you can see over 80 Super Cars on the South Bay Promenade, taking part in the first Bridlington Super Car event and parade.
