5 Best Beer Gardens to enjoy on the Yorkshire Coast

We’ve collected some of the best beer gardens where you can enjoy socialising with family and friends over a drink and some food and hopefully some sunshine too!

The Marine Pub – The perfect spot to take in stunning sea views

The Marine pub is well known for its fantastic views across the North Sea from Hornsea. Its beer garden has always been popular in the spring and summer months, with great views to accompany a pint and some food. In 2021 the outdoor area has undergone a significant upgrade from Greene King, so it now offers much more space for customers to eat and drink outdoors, including undercover booths and more tables.

The Little Angel – The ideal place for all weather conditions

The Little Angel in Whitby is looking forward to welcoming visitors whatever the weather after having had the entire beer garden area covered over, providing shelter and heat, perfect for our unpredictable British weather!

Serving premium beers, ciders and spirits, it will be a great venue to catch up with loved ones!

Manor Court Hotel – Incredible selection of food and gateway to the Wolds

This family-run friendly hotel with an onsite restaurant based in Bridlington serves great food seven days a week; with stone-baked pizzas, light bites and proper puddings all on the menu, there is something to suit everyone. In addition, manor Court has recently updated their outdoor courtyard seating with more covered areas and heaters for when the sun is not shining, meaning we can still catch up, whatever the weather!

Seabirds Inn – Cater for your four-legged friends.

Having undertaken a recent beer garden refurbishment at the Seabirds Inn located in the heart of Flamborough, the team are looking forward to welcoming guests with a flowering oasis of peace and tranquillity. Well-spaced tables and chairs to give everyone a relaxing space to drink and dine, beautiful furniture and soft ambient music to enhance your visit; the garden is also dog friendly with a doggy bag for our lovable four-legged friends.

The Downe Arms, Tuckers Restaurant & Bar – For the ultimate trip to the countryside

The charming Tuckers Restaurant & Bar is perfect for a relaxed lunch, overlooking the beautiful village of Wykeham or see it transformed in the evening to a relaxed venue for an intimate candlelit supper outside in their landscaped garden and patio. The chefs use local, seasonal produce where possible to create great home-cooked food.

The Ship Inn – Great entertainment for the kids and clifftop views

The Ship Inn is located on the clifftops between Bridlington Bay and Flamborough Head. The pub is traditional with modern decor offering premium lagers, award-winning cask ales, fine wines and cocktails. The menu incorporates locally sourced ingredients and pub classics as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.

The beer garden offers plenty of seating with a sea view, a children’s play area and an outside bar within a small amusement arcade.

So whether you have a family, four-legged friend, or you’re a fairweather drinker looking for views and great food – there’s a beautiful beer garden just waiting to be explored this year.
