The Yorkshire Coast has an abundance of experiences for young children and one of our favourite places to visit is Playdale Farm. Unlike a lot of attractions, you really can spend an entire day here and with activities both indoors and out, it’s not weather dependant either (always a relief).
Following a visit with our toddler this week it was great to see they are continually investing and have revamped and reopened their indoor play barn and incorporated a new section inside with ride-on tractors suitable for various ages, perfect timing now the weather is drawing in, and if you are planning to visit over the half term next week.
It feels good to support an independent, local business, built by a family who lives on the Coast and who has succeeded in creating a fantastic attraction that rivals the big National brands in terms of quality, the number of activities, and value for money.
If you haven’t been before you can expect indoor animal feeding experiences with sheep, goats, and pigs plus lots of other animals too. Also inside is a huge hay barn, sandpit and not forgetting their large soft play barn too. Outside is a number of playgrounds, plus pedal go-karts and summer sledge (always a big hit with us) to name but a few.
This year they are holding their first Pumpkin Festival which looks great (honestly, I will have a houseful of pumpkins from all the events we are going to this year, but I do love them!) check out their Facebook for more info.
