Has got the Bloomin lot!
One of my wonderful friends had recently bought a house and was telling our group of friends,
“if you are thinking of buying a present for me, can you get me a voucher from Dixons? I have seen the perfect oven in there; it’s a SMEG oven”,
This was then followed by exciting tales of being able to whip up the perfect Christmas dinner and the obligatory pigs in blankets. Needless to say, her enthusiasm and multiple “it’s amazing” made me chuckle because I’m not sure what my response would be if someone got me an appliance for Christmas!
We knew they were renovating the kitchen, so we nodded, happy to help.
Typically, we would wrap well-thought-out presents like favourite perfumes, jewellery, or beautifully scented candles, but this well this was a little different.
So after walking along Fileys beautiful beach taking some pictures, I decided to walk up the hill and into town and purchase her gift. As I walked up to the entrance, it was hard to miss the opening next to the door, there were lit up trees, decorations and a giant inflatable Santa.
“WOW, look at that Santa Mum”, said an excited child “can we get one”!
I smiled as I thought I would like one too!
Before getting the voucher, I thought I would have a look at the item she so wanted, I asked for help with directions as the shop was so big and had so much to offer. I could see many useful items as I followed the assistant going from one department to the next. I spotted toys, shoes, gardening equipment, seeds, and tools for the DIY enthusiast.
We came to a showroom full of kitchen appliances, and then I saw exactly what my friend must be talking about.
The SMEG oven had a festive bow wrapped around it, and I have to say I was impressed… I even thought about where it could go in my house!
As I headed to the till, I noticed a SMEG kettle and a toaster, and I knew I would be back (its not long till her birthday!), and I know exactly what she will be asking for.
This family-run store has a great friendly team who are ready to help, it really does have the bloomin lot!
I happily purchased the voucher (and a few other things too).
A perfect gift ticked off my list. 😌
