On Thursday 3rd November Whitby will be illuminated as ‘The Odyssey Embarks’ lights up the night sky.
Created by the team at Animated Objects, the Scarborough-based Theatre Company, and supported by the Yorkshire Coast BID, ‘The Odyssey Embarks’ recognises the next point in the story, which sees Odysseus setting off on his return journey home.
The event will feature amazing illuminated lanterns of all shapes and sizes on a trail around the Dock End area of the town.
The Endeavour will be lit up with special video projections on its side, plus there will also be Odysseus’ ship and themed selfie areas to capture the memories of what will be a magical event.
Join in the fun from 5 pm until 8 pm – The Endeavour will open until 8 pm to serve visitors in its cafe.
